An American in Paris

Three friends struggle to find work in Paris. Things become more complicated when two of them fall in love with the same woman.

The American painter Jerry Mulligan falls in love with Paris from the early post-war years to the young saleswoman Lise Bouvier. She reciprocates his feelings, but is already engaged to the famous singer Henri (played by Georges Guetary). Everything steers towards a tragic end, but the fate of the three takes a surprising turn at a big costume festival.
